Mobile operator Mobiuz continues to expand its network in the Andijan, Fergana, and Namangan regions.
Prioritizing 5G
The Fergana Valley is home to a significant share of Uzbekistan's population — about one-third. This places special demands on the capacity of cellular networks. It is crucial that millions of subscribers can watch video, transfer money, make calls, and perform any smartphone operation at any time, without network strain.
Over the past year and a half, Mobiuz has been actively rolling out its 5G networks. Today, over 300 5G base stations are operational across the cities and districts of the Fergana Valley. Between January and June 2026, 5G was launched for the first time in the Shahrixon district of the Andijan region and the Chust district of the Namangan region, and coverage was expanded in the city of Fergana.
Internet traffic speaks volumes about the real demand for this technology. Over the past year and a half, the volume of data consumed on 5G networks in the Fergana Valley has grown 600-fold — and it keeps rising.
High Demand for 4G LTE
At the same time, mobile internet consumption is growing across all networks. In June 2026, compared to December 2025, Mobiuz subscribers used 14% more mobile internet in the Andijan region, 5% more in the Namangan region, and 4% more in the Fergana region.
These figures are directly linked to the development of Mobiuz's infrastructure. Since the start of 2026, over 130 new 4G LTE base stations have been commissioned in the Fergana Valley. New sites have gone live in the Asaka and Marhamat districts of the Andijan region; the Uchkuprik district and the cities of Fergana and Margilan in the Fergana region; the Chust and Turakurgan districts and the city of Namangan in the Namangan region; and many other locations.
Dozens of base stations across all cities and districts of the three regions have also been modernized. In parallel, the company has been upgrading its backbone infrastructure.
Stability You Can See on Your Screen
These ongoing efforts have a direct impact on subscribers' daily lives: videos and apps download faster, video calls and payments are more stable, and 5G has become available for the first time in several districts. The improvement in mobile internet quality can not only be felt when using services, but also verified with specialized tools such as Speedtest.net, fast.com, and others.
Mobiuz continues to invest in infrastructure development across all regions of the republic. The next Mobiuz feature will cover the work carried out in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region.
